Our Annual Greenwich Township Community Day 2021 was held on October 9th at Thomas Stewart Park and began with opening remarks by Mayor Robert Barsony followed by an awards presentation. The Greenwich Township Historical Society recognized Chuck Purcell, Joseph Mecsey, John Hawk, James Sikra and Charlie Henshaw for their volunteerism and contributions to the Township and Mayor Barsony and the Township Committee presented a Proclamation and Plaque to the Greenwich Emergency Squad Celebrating their 75th Anniversary and thanking them for their years of service and dedication to the residents of Greenwich Township.
Residents enjoyed live music by the Unmentionables, hayrides courtesy of Sam Santini, an exotic animal show by Eyes of the Wild, dance performances by 5-6-7-8 Dance, Going Green show by Fit-4-kids, Kona Ice, a photo booth courtesy of Dabour Photo, a DJ, as well as many local vendors selling their wares. Township organizations were well represented as Greenwich Emergency Squad gave out popcorn in celebrations of their 75th Anniversary, Greenwich Township Police sponsored pumpkin painting, Stewartsville Volunteer Fire Company had trucks on display, reusable grocery bags were distributed by the Environmental Commission, and the Greenwich Township Historical Society had “through the Years” books for sale.
