We hope the information provided here will
help you get ready of a fun-filled
Field Hockey Season.
The Field Hockey program is chaired by a G.T.R.C member, team
coaches and community volunteers. Team coaches are Volunteers
from the community. Field Hockey coaching skills may vary from
coach to coach. G.T.R.A. provides a number of opportunities
throughout the year for Coaches to attend instructional seminars
to help improve their coaching skills. Please remember, we are
ALL VOLUNTEERS at G.T.R.C., so please feel free to assist your
coach. Just one task can help.
G.T.R.C. is a member of the Phillipsburg Area Lacross.
If you registered your child, you will be notified as soon as
the rosters have been completed. Due to the league rules, we can
not always move a player from one team to another team.
Each player must provide a completed Field Hockey Registration Form and Medical Consent Form. These forms can be viewed by clicking on the "FORMS" button and
selecting the appropriate forms. When viewing the form you can
print it by selecting File and then Print from the main menu.

There is one team level consisting of players in grades 3rd
through 8th.
The following equipment is required at each game:
- Uniform (shirt, shorts, shin guards, mouthpiece)
- Sneakers (Provided by Player)
- Uniforms are not to be worn at practice.
- Water, or a suitable fluid, should be provided by the
Field Hockey player.
Please be sure your child brings
some!
Coaches can always use a little extra help. You can help the
following ways:
- Coordinate team pictures
- Help in practices
- Help preparing the field
- Calling other parents when needed
- Car Pooling
- Collecting or distributing information
During the Field Hockey season, we may ask the team parents
to help in our fundraising efforts. The Greenwich Township
Recreation Commission thanks you for your continued support.
The field hockey schedule will be posted when it becomes
available.
- Uniforms and must be worn at all games.
- Each game will have at least one Official.
- Please consult with
your coach for any changes or additional latest information.
Maps and Directions to the G.T.R.C. Field Hockey fields (Home
and Away) will be provided as they become available. Please
always discuss directions with the team coach for any updates.
Information regarding the dates, times, location, and cost
for the G.T.R.C. Field Hockey Team and Individual Pictures will
be displayed as soon as they become available.
During the year, Field Hockey Clinics may be available to
help players learn and improve specific skills. Clinics focus on
specific Field Hockey Skill. Field Hockey Camps are normally
held during the summer months.
