help you get ready for a fun-filled 2007 Softball Season.

The Softball program is run by Dominick Esposito - Softball
Chairperson.
There are 4 team levels:

Pony (Grades 1 and 2 - Ages 7 and 8 as of Sept. 30, 2008)
-
Biddy (Grades 3, 4, Ages 9 through 11 as of Sept. 30,
2008)
-
Midgets (Grades 5 and 6, Ages 11-12 as of Sept. 30, 2008)
-
Juniors (Grades 7 and 8, Ages 13-14 as of Sept. 30, 2008)

G.T.R.A. is a member of the Phillipsburg Area Girls Softball
League. The league is composed of local teams that represent
communities or boroughs in the surrounding area of Phillipsburg,
New Jersey.
If you registered your child, you will be notified as soon as
the rosters have been completed. Due to the league rules, we can
not always move a player from one team to another team.
Each player must provide a completed Girls Softball
Registration Form and Medical Consent Form. These
forms can be viewed by clicking on the "FORMS" button and
selecting the appropriate forms. When viewing the form you can
print it by selecting File and then Print from the main menu.You can send the forms by mail to:

The following equipment is required at each game:
Provided by G.T.R.C
- Pony - Same colored
T-Shirts will be provided to each team and Coach. The player
and coach are allowed to keep the shirt at the end of the
season.
- Biddy/ Midget/Junior - Uniform
(Shirt, Pants, Hat) are provided by G.T.R.A. and must be
returned at the end of the season.
- The Uniform Handout Schedule will be communicated to you
from your coach assigned.
- Uniforms are NOT to be worn to practice to minimize the wear and tear
on the uniforms.

To make the program successful we need many volunteers.
Volunteers can contribute in many ways such as umpire
coordinators, coaching, assistant coaches, pitching coaches,
clinic coordinators, committee members, schedule coordinators,
etc.Your Coach can always use a little extra help. You can help
your coach in the following ways:
- Coordinate team pictures
- Help in practices
- Help preparing the field
- Calling other parents when needed
- Car Pooling
- Collecting or distributing information

Games are typically played during the week with some games
occuring during the weekend. Two or three games per week with
one to two practices are not unusual. The 2007 Girls Softball
Schedule will be posted when it becomes available. The schedule
will contain all of the practices and games for each team.
Uniforms and proper softball equipment must be worn at
all games.
Failure to comply with this
rule may result in the forfeiting of the game by the offending
team.
The League provides Umpires for each game.
Water,
or a suitable fluid, should be provided by the Softball player.
Please be sure to your child brings some!

Information regarding the dates, times, location, and cost
for the G.T.R.A. Softball Team and Individual Pictures will be
communicated by your coach or their assistant as soon as this
information becomes available.
